Officials at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, GA have announced that the Slack Auto Parts World Crown 300 has been rescheduled to August 10.

In a Friday press release, track officials said that the date, which was already slated for the track’s third and final Southern Super Series Super Late Model event, was chosen after “exhausting the possibility of another race date between now and the end of the year.” Officials cited team schedules, as well as conflicting race dates as chief among the reasons for rescheduling to Aug. 10.

Heavy rains forced track officials to postpone the event, which was slated for July 4, earlier in the week. The schedule for the event is expected to be released on the track’s website next week.

The new race date replaces GMP’s third and final Southern Super Series race date, which will not be rescheduled.

Track officials say the purse, format and number of laps for the race will remain as scheduled for the July 4 event. The fireworks display originally intended for July 4 will follow the Aug. 10 racing events.
