Mother Nature is already taking a toll on plans for racing during the Independence Day holiday.
According to a series statement on the track’s website, the PASS South Series Firecracker 150, slated for Wednesday night at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC, has been cancelled due to impending weather.
“The PASS race at Anderson Motor Speedway scheduled for Wednesday, July 3 has been cancelled due to a forecast of 70% chance of thunder showers and periods of heavy rain for both Wednesday and Thursday,” reads a statement from PASS South Series Public Relations posted on the website. “We felt it was in everyone’s best interest to cancel early to avoid unnecessary travel inconveniences for all.”
A rescheduled date for the event, which was to include racing from the PASS South Super Late Models, PASS Pro Late Models, CCS Legends, and CCS Modifieds, has not yet been announced.
