Blairsville, GA’s Jonathan Davenport beat out a strong field of Late Models to win the Southern All Stars portion of the Jimmy Thomas Memorial at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL on Saturday.
Clint “Catdaddy” Smith finished second, with Jake Knowles in third and Jake Knowles in fourth, making it an all Georgia sweep of the top four. Tennessee’s Riley Hickman finished fifth.
William Thomas, Shane Clanton, Jason Hiett, Jason Croft, and Mike Weeks rounded out the top five.
In other action, Montana Dudley topped the field to score the victory in the NeSmith Late Model feature. Larry Harrod came home in second, followed by Jonathan Davenport, Dana Eiland, and Rodgerick Dykes.
Joseph Brown scored the victory in the Limited Sportsman feature. Dylan Knowles crossed the line in second, with Steven Gaines, Jr. in third, John Capps in fourth, and Montie Vaughn in fifth.
In Rookie Late Model action, it was Joey Keyser picking up the win. Jay Elliott, Tanner Thomason, Tyler Thomason, and Keith Hudson rounded out the top five.
Taylor Renfroe was first under the checkered flag for the victory in Hobby action. Kevin Bennett finished second, followed by Herbie Donath in third, Allen McConnell in fourth, and John Michael in fifth.
In Bombers, it was Grady Holmes Jr. scoring the win. V.J. McDonald finished in second, with David Osbahr third, Derrick Pearce fourth, and Steven Jenson in fifth.
Tony Newman was first across the finish line to win the Road Warrior feature. Bryanna Vinent ran second, followed by Jonathan Morris in third, Greg Hicks in fourth, and Randy Cornwell in fifth.
