Tracy Hines made the pass for the win on lap 30, then went on to top the field to score the Friday night victory for the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Cars at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL.

USAC Preliminary Events started with aualifying, where two cars broke the track record and into the 13-second bracket. Bryan Clauson did so on his first lap and eventually put up a 13.819 (97.69 MPH) to set the mark. Chase Stockton won heat 1 before Brady Short took down heat 2.  Shane Cottle won heat 3, with Brady Bacon winning heat 4.  The four heats locked in the top four, putting together the first 16 starters.  The B Main, won by Nick Drake, put six more cars in. Chris Gurley would take a provisional to make a 23-car field.

The feature was exciting from the start when Drake, the eighth place starter, spun with Tyler Courtney.  The wreck ended the night for both drivers, but both were okay. A few early cautions slowed the field twice.  On lap nine, the yellow came out for Levi Jones, who slowed while in third.  That ended his night.  Just one lap later, Chris Windom went for a wild ride in turn three. Windom was okay but the front end of his machine wasn’t as lucky.

Things then settled down, as the race would go caution free to the end.

Robert Ballou held the lead untl the closing laps, with Hines lurking behind him.  When Ballou opened the door on the inside of turn one on lap 30, Hines attacked. Ballou slowed with a shredded right rear tire, ending his shot to win as Hines cruised to the victory.

Bryan Clauson was able to jump into second position to hold on to the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car Championship lead. Hunter Schuerenberg third, with Chase Stockton in fourth and Dave Darland in fifth.

The Southern States Midgets did battle earlier in the evening. Damon Fortune jumped to the lead from the pole position, with Aaron Farney and Ryan Partin working to keep pace with him.

On lap 11 Fortune spun while leading and he collected Partin with him.  Fortune was done but Partin continued on with a damaged right front suspension.

Aaron Farnay was able to capitalize and take home the trophy while Partin fought back to second place. Andy Bradley finished third, with Scott Bradley and Fortune rounding out the top five.
