UMP Modifieds and UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprints went all-out, with both series putting on a show for a full house at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL Friday night, with Rodney Sanders and Donnie Shatz scoring victories.

A $4000 prize sat waiting for the driver who could tackle the UNOH 410 All Star Circuit of Champions feature.  Dale Blaney and Daryn Pittman started on the front row. Pittman would shoot to the lead and hold it through the first 11 laps.  Donny Schatz jumped to the lead at the line as Kerry Madsen toppled his No. 29 on its side. Madsen would climb from the car uninjured.

A wild second half saw Schatz jump to a massive lead but win by just three car lengths over Daryn Pittman. Logan Schuchart finished third with Dale Blaney and Cap Henry the rounding out the top five.

The UMP DirtCar Modifieds went 30 laps for their $3000 payday but Kyle Bronson and Jeff Mathews would try to spoil the party from row 1. Mathews, however, wouldn’t even make it through the warm-ups and ran just one lap at the tail end of the field.

Rodney Sanders inherited the outside pole and quickly jumped to the lead over Bronson and Kyle Strickler before Nick Hoffman punted Hoffman in turn three in a racing incident. The race started off slowly but Sanders, Bronson, Nate Caruth, and Strickler pulled away. Caruth would fall out with a flat right rear tire and Bronson would fall out with a mechanical failure.

Ivedent Lloyd, Jr. jumped at the chance and cautions to go from 25th to third behind the leaders. Sanders never fell out of his lead and took the win while Strickler held second after inheriting it from Bronson. Ivedent Lloyd, Jr. took the biggest mover award with a third place finish while Paul Snyder and Dave Hess, Jr. took solid top 5 finishes.

Action in the Bubba Army Nationals continues this (Saturday) evening, with action the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds and 410 Winged Sprints.  Visit www.bubbaracewaypark.com for more info.
