United Sprint Car Series National points leader Tim Crawley, from Benton, AR chased  Anthony Nicholson for the first 22 laps of the 30 USCS main event at Albany Motor Speedway in Albany, GA on Saturday night before racing into the lead on lap 23 after Nicholson, who appeared to be headed to his second win of the 2012 season, spun exiting turn two of the quarter-mile South Georgia clay oval while encountering lap traffic.

It was Crawley’s second visit to the USCS victory lane in a row and 14th of the season. Defending USCS National Champion Terry Gray raced to the finish line behind Crawley in the runner-up spot. Nicholson, who only lost three positions during his complete spin, recovered to collect the third place K&N Filters Podium Award.  Morgan Turpen finished in fourth place after starting sixth. Jerod Roller rounded out the top five drivers.

Eric Riggins, Jr. chased the top five across the finish line after going to the rear of the field for a tire change on lap 16. Young gun Ryan Moore followed Riggins to the stripe in seventh place. Clint Weiss finished in eighth place. Shawn Murray finished ninth and Nick DeFeo completed the top ten drivers.

Mike Magic finished in the K&N Filters Podium Award third place. Bob Trapino, who started in the K&N Filters Pole Position, followed Magic in fourth place.
