Hartwell, Georgia’s, Adam Partain celebrated his sixth win of the 2012 season Saturday as he took the victory in the Young Guns All Star Challenge at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA.
Partain, who has been doing well all season, has really started to turn the heat up on points leader Drew Collins in the last few weeks. And with only three point races left for the season, including one double points event, if the stars align just right Partain could walk away champion for his rookie season.
Drew Collins followed Partain to the checkered flag to take second, with Jessica Still in third, Mitchell Leford in fourth, and Travis Hubbard in fifth.
In other action, Brandon “Cornbread” Haley took his second straight Limited Late Model victory, beating out Bubba “Hog Rocket” Russell for the win. Steve Yarbrough ran third, with Anthony Craft in fourth.
Frankie Beard topped the field for the victory in the FASTRAK Late Model feature. Nathan Bray came home second, with Grant Jordan in third, Colby Cannon in fourth, and Adam Smith in fifth.
Chris Cape came away with the Modified Street feature win. Paul Byrum, Rusty Jordan, John Teasley, and Richard Jones rounded out the top five.
In Stock V8 action, Terry Brown beat out Cal Moon to score the feature win. Jesse Thurmond finished third, with Otis Fleeman in fourth, and April Backer in fifth.
Chris Wilson scored the win in the Stock Four Cylinder feature. Dale Cross finished second, with Dustin Bales third, J.J. Garrett fourth, and Kyle Dean fifth.
Seth Brown crossed the finish line first to pick up the Up Front victory. Steven Powell was second, with Keith Hicks in third, Joel Powell, Sr. in fourth, and Jonathan Starrett in fifth.
