Clint Smith took a weekend off the traveling circuit and made a rare appearance at his home track, Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA, Saturday and went home with the win.
Smith started on the outside front row and grabbed the lead from Chip Brindle and Dale Thurman as they drove three wide for the first lap and never looked back. The race to watch the rest of he way was for second through fifth as it was changing lap by lap. Thurman fell in to second and was immediately challenged by Chip Brindle. The two would battle several laps until Brindle took the runner up spot for good.
While this was taking place, young guns Tony Knowles and Michael Page made their way into the top five and made their way past Thurman for third and fourth leaving Thurman to settle for the fifth spot when the checkers flew after thirty laps.
Cass Fowler found himself in victory lane in the Limited Late Model feature taking his first win since the season opener in April. Jake Herrell gave chase but was forced to settle for second followed by Scottie Pritchett. Rucker Orr and Alan Brewer completed the top five.

Roy Patterson looked a sure winner in the Super Bomber as he set sail at the green flag until lap sixteen when he dropped a driveshaft on the front straight, ending his evening. Andy Morris took over the lead and held off strong challenges from Kirk Atkins and Blant Duke. Both would finish second and third. Bobby Hill came under the checkers for fourth follwed by Ted Minnix in fifth.
