Carnes Takes His Second Anderson Late Model Win Of 2012

Ralph Carnes started his night by turning the fastest lap in Late Model qualifying at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC.

He ended it in victory lane.

Carnes was the fastest qualifier with a time of 15.284 seconds.  He rolled a one on the dice so he started on the pole.  Carnes led the first 39 laps before he relinquished the top spot to Austin Aker on lap 40.  Aker held the lead until lap 45 when Carnes went back by him.  Once out front for the second time, Carnes pulled to a three car length advantage and held it to pick up his second victory of the season.  Austin Aker finished second.  Eric Stokes finished third.  Trace Reeves finished fourth.  Greg Bohannon finished fifth.

In other action, David Darnell scored the win in the B Mini Stock race.  Dylan Hall and Darnell battled side by side the first lap, with Hall taking the lead at the end of the lap.  The two resumed their battle on lap three, with Darnell taking the lead at the end of lap five.  Chad Campbell moved to second on lap six and ran with Darnell until his car broke on lap 17.  The victory was the seventh of the season for Darnell.  Dylan Hall finished second.  Ben Kay finished third.  Chad Campbell finished fourth.

Barry Tollison Sr. came home with the win in the Super Renegade race.  Sammy Staggs led the first 10 laps of the race before a front tire went flat, allowing Tollison Sr. to move to the lead.  Tollison Sr. led the final five laps and took the victory.  Billy Coker finished second.  Barry Tollison Jr. finished third.  Sammy Staggs finished fourth.  David Whitaker finished fifth.

Austin Northcutt claimed the victory in the B-M Modified division.  Northcutt led every lap and was never challenged during the caution free race.  The victory was the seventh of the season for Northcutt.  Mark Burdette finished second.  Casey Tucker finished third.  Lance Jones finished fourth.  Robert Marshall finished fifth.

Ricky Burnett nabbed the win in the Renegade race. Burnett led every lap of the race as he picked up his eleventh victory of the season.  Blake Gregory finished second.  Jack Robertson finished third.  Doug Miller finished fourth.  Blake Gregory finished fifth.

Chris Harvell scored the win in the Front Wheel Drive race.  Tony Reed led the first four laps before he relinquished the top spot to Chris Harvell.  Harvell led the remainder of the race and picked up his seventh victory of the season.  Tony Reed finished second.  CJ Huitt finished third.  Austin Heil finished fourth.  Travis Barbare finished fifth.
