“Cat Daddy” Clint Smith pocketed $5,300 Sunday night by leading flag-to-flag in the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals feature at Rome Speedway in Rome, GA.
After setting fast time in qualifying, Smith would set the pace throughout the 53-lap feature, beating out Chris Madden, with Vic Hill finishing third, Dale McDowell in fourth, and Jason Hiett in fifth.
In other action, Austin Smith topped the field to score the Crate Late Model victory. Ryan King came home second, with Phil Coltrane in third, Craig Reece in fourth, and Carey Smith in fifth.
In the Super Bomber feature, Kirk Atkins was first across the finish line for the win. Willie Winsome finished second, with Andy Morris in third, Zach Shelton in fourth, and Daniel Brewer in fifth.
Justin Shipley came away with the victory in the Econo feature. David Beam, Shane Smith, Eric Hamby, and Dan Meadows rounded out the top five.
Jeremy Ray outran the field to score the Pony Stock feature win. Jeremy Baines finished second, with Shannon Ethridge in third, Jeremy Millsaps in fourth, and Cody Sisson in fifth.
Brian Dempsey was the winner in the Cruiser division. Jimmy Wilson came home second, followed by Chris Neece, Joe Trantham, and Mickey Dempsey.
