Like anything else worth having in life, winning does not come easily.
Just ask Colby Cannon, show battled side-by-side with Frankie Beard around the famed dirt at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA Saturday night, with both aiming to park their cars in victory lane.
In the end, Cannon was able to prevail, as he scored the FASTRAK Late Model feature victory, with Beard hanging on for second. Larry Timms came home third, with Nathan Bray in fourth, and Grant Jordan in fifth.
In other action, it was another winning night for the “Hog Rocket”, as Bubba Russell came home with the victory in the Limited Late Model feature, beating out Brandon “Cornbread” Haley for the win. Parker Herring ran third, with Jimmy Johnson in fourth, and Stephen Segars in fifth.
Rusty Jordan scored the victory in the Modified Street feature, with Tyler Brown finishing second, followed by Chris Cape in third, Chad Hoopaugh in fourth, and Daniel Doster in fifth.
Cal Moon topped the field to win in the Stock V8 feature. Justin Mauldin finished second, with Ricky Chamberlain in third, Joeseph Teasley in fourth, and April Backer in fifth.
In Stock Four Cylinder action, it was Chris Wilson beating Scot Hollars to the finish line to score the victory. Cy Strickland, Dustin Bales, and Shane Strickland rounded out the top five.
Drew Collins finished first in the Young Guns feature, beating out Jason Calhoun for the win. Mitchell Ledford finished third, with Adam Partain in fourth.
Hermon Isom crossed under the checkered flag first in the Up Front feature to score the win. Stephen Powell ran second, with Kevin Cox third, and James Goodwin fourth.
