Chip Brindle, of Chatsworth, GA, grabbed the lead at the onset of the Super Late Model feature at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA Saturday night, held off every challenge Tony Knowles or Michael Page could make and scored his second win in a row.

Knowles went on to finish second holding off a hard charging Ronnie Johnson, who made his way from a tenth place starting spot to grab third from Page in the last several laps leaving Page settling for fourth. Tyler Millwood raced around just outside the top five and made his move with five laps to go to finish fifth.

Mark Bunch has taken a liking to Dixie Speedway as he led flag to flag for yet another feature win in the Limited Late Model class. As Bunch kept a comfortable lead, the rest of the top five remained uncertain. Matt Dooley and Jason Smith raced hard to see who  would bring home second place money. Dooley took the spot on lap eighteen leaving Smith in third. Don Jenkins jumped into fourth after a late race restart with two laps to go with Jake Herrell following him around to take the fifth spot.

Mark Page looked to be heading for a Crate Late Model feature win until lap seven when he suddenly came to a stop on the front stretch with motor problems, ending his night. This handed the lead over to Phil Coltrane on the restart, who held the lead until Craig Reece made his way around Coltrane on the high side and never looked back. Coltrane settled for second but came up light at the scales, giving second over to rookie Hunter Jones for his best finish of the season so far. Chuck Page came across the line for third with Justin Wakefield on his heels. Henry Ward brought his ride home in fifth.

Rome’s Kirk Atkins took another win in the Super Bomber feature finishing ahead of Kenny Taylor, Bobby Hill, Ted Minnix and Zack Shelton.
