Anthony Anders and Toby Porter battled tooth and nail for 40-laps Saturday night at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Greenville, SC, swapping the lead back and forth. But the 40th lap, the one that pays the money, belonged to Anders.

“We have struggled all season and winning tonight was the direct result of the hard work of all the guys in my crew,” Anders said.  “Toby has stepped up his program, and Marty is always on his game. We are just glad things have come together. That’s due to all the hard work.”

Anders and Porter were battling hard, swapping the lead back and forth, and Ward was sitting two car-lengths behind, waiting on one or the other to make a mistake. Although there was plenty of rubbing, both drivers handled it with style, and there were no caution flags.

Ralph Carnes was the forth place finisher, and Enrique Contreras was fifth. Bob Root, Darrell Durham, Jr., Rafael Valina, Barry Boggero and Brandon Fox completed the field.

Porter, the current points leader, maintained a healthy lead even though he finished second. Ward lost only two points, as he rides second in track championship competition.

Anders maintains his lead in the national point standings.

Chuckie Greer figured out that the best way to run the Charger main event was to get out front and pull away for the victory. Michael Mote finished second, with Daryl Culbertson third. Zach Pressley, who won last week and had to start in the rear, moved up to fourth, and Mike Mote was fifth.

Dale Stancil had worked his way into second place with three laps remaining in the Renegades main event, and it appeared there weren’t enough laps for him to catch the leader. But the race leader had problems, and Stancil led through a green-white-checkered finish for the victory. Travis Cox finished second, with Andrew Cordell third. Matt Anders and Brandon Fox finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Ray Mullinax maintained his cool and held on to his lead despite pressure from Tommy Davis, Jr., to win the Four Cylinder main.

David had worked his way through the field and had a chance to win as an accident brought all of the cars back together for a two-lap dash to the checkered flag. Davis won a week ago and had to start on the rear of the field.

Buck Simmons finished third, with Carl Reed fourth and Eric Headen fifth.

Ryan Walker took the checkered flag in the Trucks main, with Tim Lollis taking second. Michael Altop finished third.

Mark Gibson was the winner in the Street Stock division, as David Rader was second. Dylan Crowe finished third, Freddy Hale, Jr., was fourth and Furman Craft finished fifth.
