Marty Ward, Toby Porter, and Randy Porter combined for perhaps the most competitive 40-laps of Late-Model Stock racing of the season at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Greenville, SC Friday night, as Marty Ward edged Toby Porter for his fourth straight victory.

Defending track champion Randy Porter sat on the pole and led the first half of the race, and then Ward went to the front. Toby Porter got by Randy Porter five laps later. A caution flag put the field side by side for the restart on lap 30 and Toby Porter kept the pressure on.

“It’s good racing when two cars can run side by side like Toby and I did and never touch,” Ward said in victory lane. “I knew Toby was going to be tough on that restart, and I managed to scrape the inside wall. My car didn’t handle quite as well after that, but I was able to stay in front.”

With Ward winning, Toby Porter finished in second, with Randy Porter third. The Burns brothers, Jeremy and Will, finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Ralph Carnes was sixth, with Anthony Anders in seventh. Justin Sorrow, Bob Root, and Greg Welborn completed the top ten.

Tim Lollis started on the pole and led every lap in the Truck division main event.

“With the next three trucks battling each other it made it easier to stretch it out a little bit from the front,” Lollis said after the win.

Lollis finished ahead of Randy Ballew, with Ryan Walker and Chris Chastain battling hard for third. Walker made the last lap pass for the position with Dale Walker finishing fifth.

It took James Johnson 14 laps to work his way to the front of the Chargers main event, but he was up front and running hard to take the checkered flag one lap later.  Mike Mote finished second, with Andy Norris third, Zach Pressley fourth and Michael Mote was fifth.

Eric Headen took the win in the Four Cylinder division with Tommy Davis, Jr., in second. Danny Heil was third, with Davie Rader and Austin Heil rounding out the top five.

Kyle Ballew was the winner in the Renegade main, as Jeremy Drummond was second. Scotty Tyner ws thirdt and Travis Cox was fourth. Daniel Jameson took fifth.

Mark Gibson made a last-lap pass to win the Street Stock main, as David Rader was second. Tyler Gibson was third and Furman Craft took fourth.
