The fifth installment of Raceweek Illustrated Garage Talk is now available online.
The latest episode of Raceweek Illustrated Garage Talk, which first aired May 5, 2012, features coverage of several regional racing events, our Garage Talk Pit Road Spotlight interview with Georgia Racing Hall of Famer Charlie Mincey, and an in studio discussion about the plight of North Georgia local asphalt racers.
In the first segment, host Brandon Reed and co-host Doug Turnbull reviews this week’s headlines, then look at results from 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL, Mobile International Speedway in Mobile, AL, NeSmith Dirt Late Model action at Albany Motor Speedway in Albany, GA, Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA, Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA, ARCA Action from Salem, IN, action from Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Greenville, SC and more.
In the second segment, host Brandon Reed visits with Georgia Racing Hall of Fame member Charlie Mincey, who talks to us about his career, from winning against some of history’s best drivers on some of the toughest tracks in the south, to running moonshine and being a member of the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame.
In the third segment, we review action from Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Friday Night Drags, Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC, Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA, Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, NC, Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA, and East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL.
