Chase Edge not only had to beat a strong field of competitors, he also had to outrun Mother Nature to score the Late Model victory Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL.
Edge topped the field, beating out Cord Dodgen, who finished second, with Rodgerick Dykes third, Thomas Lewis fourth, and Scott Prins in fifth.
In other action, Jimmy Thomas outran Brand Lewis to pick up the win in the Limited Sportsman feature. Robby Metts finished third, with Cody Simons in fourth, and Joseph Brown in fifth.
In Rookie Late Model action, Dylan Knowles was first to the checkered flag to nab the win. Joey Keyser finished second, and Tyler Thomason finished third.
Allen McConnell came home with the win in the Hobby feature. Taylor Renfroe, Kevin Bennett, Chris Cunningham, and Chris Storey rounded out the top five.
In the Road Warrior feature, Dylan Holmes beat out Turner Renfroe for the win. Jonathan Morris finished third.
Unfortunately, rain moved in over the track, causing the Bomber and Modified features to be postponed.
