There was a $500 payday on the line for racers in the Stock Four Cylinder All Star Challenge at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA Saturday night.
In the end, Mitchell Godfrey scored the feature win, pocketing the big paycheck in the process. Nathan Bray finished second, with Cody Byrum third, Dustin Bales fourth, and Ashley Poole fifth.
In other action, Parker Herring topped the field in the Limited Late Model feature. Brant Carey came home second, followed by Brandon Haley in third, Bubba Russell in fourth and Steve Yarbrough in fifth.
In Crate Late Models, Danny Sanders was first to the checkered flag, with Colby Cannon in second. Kyre Mullaney, Shane Yarbrough, and Grant Jordan rounded out the top five.
In Modified Street action, Dean Butler beat out Paul Byrum for the feature win. Jeremy Jones came home third, with Richard Jones fourth, and Allan Hill in fifth.
Keith Teasley came home first in the Stock V8 feature. Justin Mauldin ran second, with Colby Thornton third, Cody Fleeman fourth, and Michael Bukley fifth.
Bryce Alewine again showed the field his back bumper, scoring the Young Guns feature win. Drew Collins, Austin Smith, Jason Calhoun, and Bradley Lambert rounded out the top five.
In the Up Front feature, Steven Powell recorded the victory, with Morris Lester, James Goodwin, Joel Powell, Sr., and Corey Price rounding out the top five.
Action returns to Hartwell Speedway on Saturday April 21, with a full race program, including Limited Late Models, FASTRAK Late Model, Modified Street, Stock V8, Stock Four Cylinder, Young Guns and Up Front. For more info, visit hartwell-speedway.com.
