The 2012 racing season got kicked off Saturday night for fans and racers at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA.
Brandon Haley topped a field of strong, fast dirt Late Models to score the victory in the Limited Late Model feature. Haley held off Bubba Russell to take home the win. Dustin Mincey finished third, followed by Parker Herring in fourth, and Wesley English in fifth.
In other action, Frankie Beard scored the victory in the FASTRAK Late Model feature, with Danny Sanders running second. Colby Cannon finished third, with Shane Yarbrough in fourth, and Adam Smith in fifth.
Seth Brown picked up the win in the Up Front feature. Brown beat out Joel Powell, Sr., who finished second, followed by Ryan Goldsmith in third, Stacey Foster in fourth, and Morris Lester in fifth.
In Young Guns action, Austin Smith crossed the finish line first, with Drew Collins finishing second, and Daniel Ivester third.
In the Stock V8 feature, Keith Ross was first under the checkered flag to snag the win. John Shaw came across second, followed by Colby Thornton, Ricky Chamberlain, and Kevin Shaw.
Brandon Puckett picked up the victory in the Modified Street feature. Mark Chancey came in second, with Richard Jones in third, Michael Whaley in fourth, and Steven Powell in fifth.
In the Stock Four Cylinder feature, Mitchell Godfrey came home with the win, with J.J. Garrett, Cody Martin, Roger Nickerson, and Aaron Colvert rounding out the top five.
Action continues at Hartwell Speedway this Saturday, March 24, featuring the Modified Street All Star Challenge, with $500 on the line to win. Also on tap is action from the Limited Late Models, FASTRAK Late Models, Stock V8, Stock Four Cylinder, Young Gun, and Up Front divisions.
