441 Speedway in Dublin, GA will be a part of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series in 2012, giving the series a solid presence in Central Georgia. Drivers in the Crate Late Model Division at 441 Speedway will compete for both a track point fund and a National point fund that will pay $10,000 to the 2012 Champion and pay back ten spots.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has a past working relationship with 441 Speedway, as the track hosted a pair of Touring events in 2010 with local driver Ben Faircloth of Swainsboro, GA winning both races.
“There is a good group of very talented drivers in the Central Georgia area that will have a great opportunity to win the $10,000 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Championship by competing weekly at 441 Speedway,” NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Director Roby Helm said. “Several of them have competed with us in NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring events this season and are represented in the Top 50 drivers in the current season point standings.”
Robert Diekemper of Bloomingdale, GA and Brandon Overton of Appling, GA have won NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring events this season. Albert Cosnahan of Stillmore, GA is 14th in the Touring point standings and Bob Robertson of Evans, GA is 17th in the series points chase.
Chesley Dixon of Swainsboro, GA, Ches Chester of Twin City, GA, and Brian Conner of Augusta, GA are also in the Top 50 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring point standings this season.
