Talladega Short Track - Eastaboga, Alabama
Tim Roszell rallied from his eighth place starting spot to earn victory in Super Late Model action at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on Saturday Night.
Tim Busha finished in the second spot with Jason Wilson third. Terry Smith was fourth with Ross Martin rounding out the top five.
In other action, Dustin Stewart was declared the winner of the Sportsman feature following post-race tech. Bubba Lackey finished second, Billy Atkinson third, Cameron Heath fourth and Randy Holder in fifth.
Todd Watson won the twenty-lap Crate Late Model feature event. Lee Burdett finished second, Trent Thomas was third, Carlton Freeman was fourth and Mike Combs finished fifth.
Scottie Hiett picked up the Open Wheel Modified feature event win over Destin Mince in second. Clark Gary finished third, with Eddie Brannon fourth and Kevin Campbell fifth.
In the ThunderCar feature, Lewis Rakestraw scored the win. David Kay, Steven Morrow, Phillip Runfola and Wren Goodman rounded out the top five.
John Smart won the caution-free Mini Stock feature event, with Chip Battles in second, Kevin Crocker third, Troy Bennich in fourth and Eddie Pickett in fifth.
Russell Chapman won the Street Stock feature. Andy Davis finished second, with Brandon Wells third, Phillip Haynes fourth and Nick Deweese fifth.
Timmy Runfola won the Hot Shot feature event, with Alvin Gaddy, James McAvoy, Drew Uptain and Byron Madison rounding out the top five finishers.
After taking a one-week break, TST will be back in action on Saturday October 8th featuring a full racing program plus the KMSA Mini Stocks. It will be the annual “Icebowl Qualifier” race where the feature winners from all divisions except Super Late Models will be guaranteed a starting spot in the Icebowl features in January.
