The new clay surface at Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, Georgia continues to please fans and drivers alike, providing fast speeds and hot racing action.
Saturday night was no different, as David McCoy topped a strong field of Super Late Models to pick up the victory. Nick Sellers was second, followed by Bobby Panter, Daniel Wilson and Jimmy Ivester.
It was definitely Parker Herring’s night in the Late Model Sportsman division. Not only did he pick up the win in the feature event, but he also was the fast qualifier and was the leader at half way, giving him a $1,100 bonus to make the win that much sweeter.
David Donley ran second with David Conner, Melvin English and Jimmy Ivester rounding out the top five.
Nick Sellers bettered his last finish at Toccoa of second place by picking up a win in the Hobby Stock feature Saturday. Randy Dillard was second, followed by Ray Hamilton and Michael Pace.
Josh Thurmond came away with the win in the Modified Street division. Otis Murray, Ronald Ivester, Tim Bohannon and Art Byers rounded out the top five.
Harley Holden was first to the checkered flag for the win in the Stock 4 Cylinder feature. Daryl Ivester was second, followed by Wesley McDonald, Jackie Holden and Jeffery Lord.
Toccoa Speedway will be off this week to give track crews a chance to take care of a few things around the speedway. Racing returns on Saturday night, July 30.
