Raceweek Illustrated will be expanding its scope to include a weekly television program, along with continued motorsports coverage on the internet.
The fourth installment of Raceweek Illustrated Garage Talk is now available online.
The latest episode of Raceweek Illustrated Garage Talk, which first aired April 28, 2012, features a preview of the upcoming Racing Radios 100 at Gresham Motorsports Park, coverage of several regional racing events, in Jefferson, GA, our Garage Talk Pit Road Spotlight interview with Dawsonville, GA’s own Gordon Pirkle, and interviews with Cape Motorsports’ Matt Brabham, Spencer Pigot, Trent Hindman, Rick Taylor, and Nicholas Cape.
In the first segment, host Brandon Reed and co-host Doug Turnbull reviews this week’s headlines, then looks at results from Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA, Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC, CARS Pro Cup action from Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, NC, Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA, Toccoa Speedway in Toccoa, GA and Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Greenville, SC. We then talk with guest Dan Elliott, General Manager of Gresham Motorsports Park about the upcoming Racing Radios 100 Super Late Model feature on May 12.
In the second segment, host Brandon Reed travels the famed Dawsonville Pool Room in Dawsonville, GA to talk to Gordon Pirkle, the chairman of the board of directors for the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame. Pirkle talks about the history of racing in and around Dawsonville, how his legendary pool room got started, and the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame.
In the third segment, we visit with Cape Motorsports drivers Matt Brabham, Spencer Pigot, and Trent Hindman about their preperations for the upcoming “Night Before The 500” USF2000 event at Lucas Oil Raceway Park in Indianapolis, along with team principals Rick Taylor and Nicholas Cape. We then visit again with GMP General Manager Dan Elliott to talk about all the different races set for May 12 at Gresham Motorsports Park.
