Adam Martin Takes Super Late Model Win At Talladega

Finally, the weather pattern of rain broke in central Alabama after two weeks in a row, giving fans at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL a big night of racing.

Adam Martin found himself as the pole sitter for the feature event of the Kilpatrick Chevrolet Super Late Model division.  Martin dominated the entire event.  Ross Martin started on the third row outside and worked his way up to the third place position when the checker flag came out for this thirty-lap event.  Todd Watson of Childersburg, Alabama took home the second place winnings. Ross Martin, Jason Heitt, and Tim Roszell rounded out the top five

In other action, Chris Noah scored the feature win in the Crate Late Model division.  Ryan King ran second, with Kyle Maye in third, Bret Holmes in fourth, and Jimmy Elkins in fifth.

Joe Noojin took the win for the second week in a row in the Sportsman feature.  Adam Cummings ran second, with Chris Blackburn in third, Dallas Cooper in fourth, and Cory Korreckt in fifth.

The Open Wheel Modified division returned to Talladega Short Track after taking off a few weeks.  Lakeetha Skinner took home the win, with Josh Trammell, Rusty Duncan, David Griffin, and Shaun Cater rounding out the top five.

In the ThunderCar feature, Scott Magourik took his second straight win, with Chris Yarbrough in second, Tony Gray third, Zack Shelton fourth, and Michael McCrelles fifth.

Andy Davis won the Farmers Insurance Street Stocks feature.  Nick Deweese finished second, with Russell Chapman in third, Shane Layfield in fourth, and Joseph Chapman in fifth.

An early birthday present is earned by Brent Gowers in the Dorsey’s Supermarket Hot Shots Trophy Dash.  Gowers came back in the feature event and score the win.  Chase McAvoy, Clay Gillilan, Katelyn Presley, and Terry Graves rounded out the top five.
