11:10 p.m. — That will do it for our SpeedBlog this evening. Stay tuned for a complete recap after post-race inspection. Thanks again for reading, and have a great night.

Elliott on his victory:

“I don’t know how we did that. I told the crew whenever the swaybar broke, I wasn’t going to give up until the checkered flag waved.”

“This one is for Beau Slocumb,” he went on to say. “We lost a heck of a racer last year, but he’s hear with us in our hearts.”

“You had to run as hard as you could run. I was out of breath because I had to run so hard. Fortunately, we had a long green flag run to where we could get our lap back.”

Reaid (finished second):

“We weren’t very good that first segment. We made a few changes and it definitely helped.”

“It’s cool to finish one-two here for Beau.” (Elliott and Reaid are teammates.)

Grill on third:

“We were decent that first run and got better the longer the run went. We made a few adjustments and feel like we made the right ones. We went back out there and didn’t  have any brakes.

“But we went out there and didn’t knock the nose off of it, so it was a good night.”

5 p.m. — Good afternoon from Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, GA, where we’re getting ready for the track’s season opener, the second annual Beau Slocumb Memorial 208.

Also on tap for tonight are local divisions, including Trucks, Outlaw Late Models, Renegade/Sportsman, and the Mini-Stocks.

There will be lots of action to follow tonight, and we’ll be on top of it here for you on our RWI SpeedBlog, but the best way to experience the event is to be here.  So come join us trackside at Gresham Motorsports Park!
