Randy Porter scored the season opening victory in the 75-lap Late Model feature at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamson, SC Friday night.
Porter opened the night as the fastest qualifier with a time of 15.220 seconds. Following the roll of the dice the top five were inverted for the main event.
When the green flag dropped, R.A. Brown grabbed the lead. Brown held the top spot through the first thirty five laps of the race before Porter made his way past to take over the lead.
Once out front, Porter pulled away from the field and went on to score the win and the $1,500 winner’s payday. Ralph Carnes finished second, with Brown third, Austin Leitner fourth, and Joey Collins fifth.
In other action, Barry Tollison, Jr. picked up the win in the Super Renegade feature. Tollison, Jr. led every lap of the race as he coasted to the victory. Eddie Henderson finished second, with Zach Pressley third, Andrew Cordell fourth, and Whitey Suttles in fifth.

Ryan Howard ran within a couple of car lengths of Hall until he slipped up in turn two on lap ten of the race, allowing hall to move away and score the win. Howard held on for second, with Dion Ciccarilli, and Brandon Segars rounding out the top four.
Will Ragsdale scored the win in the B-M Modified feature. Alan Mitchell led the first thirteen laps of the race before spinning in turn two late in the going. That handed Ragsdale the top spot, which he held the final two laps on his way to the victory. Bryce Malcolm finished second, with Casey Tucker third, Austin Northcutt fourth, and Trevor Sanders fifth.
In the Front Wheel Drive feature, Tommy Davis led wire-to-wire to pick up the win. Chris Harvell, Wayne Cowart, Joey Kelly, and Tim Ervin rounded out the top five.
Action returns to Anderson Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 24, as the track plays host to the CARS Pro Cup Series for a 250 lap event, along with action in the B-Mini Stocks and B-M Modifieds.
