Derek Hagar drove to his ninth USCS Sprint Car Series victory of the 2023 season on Friday night at Clayhill Motorsports Park in Atwood, Tennessee.
The Marion, Arkansas driver started from the pole, and led all 25 laps in the caution free feature to score the win in the first appearance of the series at the 3/8 mile clay speedway.
Jac Nickles finished in second, with Dale Howard in third, Brad Bowden in fourth, and Hayden Martin in fifth.
Terry Gray, Lance Moss, Jeff Willingham, Curt Terrell, and Wade Buttrey rounded out the top 10.
In preliminary action, Hagar and Nickles won their respective heat races, and Hagar also won the speed dash.
The series was slated to compete again on Saturday night at Clayhill, only to see the event washed out by rain.
