Chris Nickerson started on the pole in Friday night’s Open Wheel Modified feature at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway, and converted it to a win.

The Lula, Georgia speedster had to rebound from a spin on the opening lap. Another spin further back sent several cars around at the same time, setting up a complete restart with all the cars holding their original positions.

On the second start attempt, Chris Nickerson again took the lead while the pack battled away behind him, with Brian Nickerson moving to second.

In the end, it was Chris Nickerson getting the win, with Brian Nickerson in second, Harley Stanley in third, Ray Suman in fourth, and David Dove in fifth.

In other action, David McCoy tracked down Frankie Beard over the closing laps, with the two battling back and forth for several laps. With less than 10 laps remaining, McCoy finally cleared Beard off turn 4, and went on to score the victory. Beard held on for second, with Mason Tucker in third, Vince Fanello in fourth, and Chris Woods in fifth.

Royce Bray doubled up on Friday nights with wins in both the 602 Late Model and Modified Street features.

In the 602 Late Model feature, Bray took the lead on the drop of the green flag, and went on to win over David McCoy in second, with Brady Cornett in third, Rod Roberts in fourth, and Tucker Anderson in fifth.

In the Modified Street feature, Bray hunted down leader Chris Cape after starting in the third spot. Bray finally took the lead away from Cape after the two battled for a couple of laps, and went on to record the victory. Cape, Sterling Helm, Jennifer Everett, and Ryan Boles rounded out the top five.

Veteran wheelman Rocky Jones battled with Keith Baker for multiple laps in the Stock 8 feature, with Jones finally coming away with the win. Baker came home in second, with David Brown in third, Terry Henry in fourth, and David Dove in fifth.

Matt Gilbert scored the win in the Stock 4 feature, with J.J. Garrett second, Elliott Brayboy third, Zac Cox fourth, and Randy Boshers fifth.

Nathan Bray topped the field in the 602 Chargers feature to take the win. Cole McKeehan finished in second, with Frankie Beard in third, Charles Bellor in fourth, and Charles Ouzts in fifth.

Cameron Fowler edged out Justyn Jacobs to take the Young Guns feature victory, with Bryson Briscoe in third, Jayda Brown in fourth, and Koltin Bryant in fifth.

Chase Stevens and Ricky Hill battled for the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Stevens getting the win. Hill held on to finish in second, followed by North West in third, Tony Stevens in fourth, and Stacy Foster in fifth.
