Gavin Terry held off the competition and Mother Nature to score a victory on Saturday night at West Georgia Speedway in Whitesburg, Georgia.

Terry made the trip from Flowery Branch, Georgia to compete in his first race at the 3/8-mile clay race track. It paid off with the win in the Gerber Collision & Glass Chargers feature.

Ronnie Teal followed in second, with Billy Wallace in third, Cole Barrett in fourth and Darren Ray in fifth.

The win came after track officials worked hard after a five minute downpour left the track drenched. The hard work paid off as officials got the track back in racing condition and got in the full night of racing action.

In other action, Dusty Jones and Austin Horton battled side by side, nose to tail, exchanging some paint a few times in the Limited Late Model feature. Jones held off every move Horton could throw at him to win his first feature at West Georgia this season. Marty Massey came home third, with Mark Knight fourth and Russell Teal fifth.

Payton Stevenson led flag-to-flag for Summit Racing Equipment 602 Late Model Sportsman feature win. Division points leader Shane Payton held off a strong charge by veteran racer Joe Armistead, Jr. to take second. Mitchell Keaton followed in fourth, with Matthew Knight in fifth.

James Swanger took advantage when Chris Steel and Cory Hillman made miscues early on to score his sixth Sanders Logging Hobby feature win of the season. The victory leaves Swanger undefeated in the division for 2021. Steele, Corey Glaze and Hillman rounded out the top four finishers.

Craig Boozer was in control of the West Georgia Tire Bomber feature until he made one little mistake, which allowed William Blair to shoot past and into the lead position. Blair did not make any mistakes the rest of the way to win his first feature of the season. Boozer ended up second just ahead of division points leader Derrick Matthews in third, Jordan Wallace in fourth and Ricky Neill in fifth.

David Bracket was the winner in the Massey Towing Mini Stock feature, with Jason Burton, Brian Arce, Shane Walton, and Tommy Faulkner rounding out the top five.

Ernie Turner won the Hot Shots, feature, with Steve Clinton in second, Tommy Smith in third, Kaitlyn Upton in fourth and Paul Heitsenrether in fifth.
