Alexander Takes Senoia Late Model Sportsman Victory

Morgan Alexander made his first career trip to victory lane in Late Model Sportsman action at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway on Saturday night.

The Locust Grove, Georgia speedster topped qualifying, and on the drop of the green flag, moved out to the early lead. Wiley McDaniel gave chase, at one time setting up a three-wide run.

Alexander was up to the challenge, and when McDaniel was sidelined with a broken shock, he cruised to the victory.

Jamie Nicholson, Jr. finished in second, with Mario Gresham in third, Bailey Williams in fourth and Shane Smith in fifth.

Jack Mills, Daniel Doster, Jason Turner, Cory Compton and Shane Payton rounded out the top 10.

In other action, Tim Harmon passed T.J. Joiner on the outside on lap three and the cruised to the win in the Hobby feature. Joiner finished in second, with Landon DeGraff in third, Danny Whitten in fourth and James Swanger in fifth.

Mike Weed scored his first career Charger feature. Conner Younginer finished in second, with Jamie Godbee in third, Will McConnell in fourth and Payton Stevenson in fifth.

Austin Horton was the winner the Limited Late Model feature. Chaz Haskins followed in second, with Dennis Hale third, Glenn Morris fourth and Rucker Orr fifth.

Dylan Knowles won in the Crate Late Model feature, followed by Marty Massey in second, Wayne Harbin in third, Jimmy Thomas in fourth and Mason Massey in fifth.

Joshua Till topped the Mini Stocks feature, with Tommy Faulkner, David Brackett, Jamie Pritchett and Justin Brackett rounding out the top five.

Dustin Smith was handed the Bomber victory after Lark Haskins was disqualified in post race tech for an illegal carburetor. That moved Scott Amoson to second, with Curtis Turner third, Vern Miller fourth and Craig Boozer fifth.

Ernie Turner was the winner in the Hot Shots feature. Cory Greene came home in second, with Tommy Smith in third, Cory Wilson in fourth and Alton Henry in fifth.
