Hank Wilhelm recorded another hometown victory on Saturday at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia.
Wilhelm, who hails from Commerce, defeated Mickey Morris in the Super Pro final to take the win in Summit ET Drag Racing Series competition.
Wilhelm dialed in a 4.92 but only had to launch his car through the beams when he saw Morris red light, handing Wilhelm the win. . Morris dialed in a 6.48 and ran a 6.494 ET at 104.99 MPH but a foul -0.001 reaction.
Other winners on the day included Allen Williams in Pro, Tim Keeton in Sportsman, Jayton Duggar in JR Street, Tim Sutton in Super Pro Bike, Corey Reed in 5-9 JR Dragster, Hannah Lindsey in 10-12 JR Dragster and Hayden Wilson in 13-17 JR Dragster.
