Joe Nash led wire-to-wire at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway to score the victory in Saturday night’s Modified Street feature.

That’s not to say it was an easy win at the 1/4-mile clay raceway for him.

Nash started from the pole, with Jordan Poole on the outside of the front row. On the start, Nash beat out Poole to take the lead in turn one, and then held off a challenge in turn three to lead the opening lap.

The first caution of the event flew moments later for a spin in turn four.

On the restart, Nash again moved to the point, with Poole and Aaron Criswell in tow. Following a second caution for an on-track issue, Nash faced another challenge when Poole drove his car deep into turn one on the restart, getting alongside Nash briefly. But Nash was able to defend, as he got a better run off turn two to hold the lead.

From there, Nash began working to gap the field, only to see his advantage evaporate when the third and final caution of the night flew.

Back under green, Nash again moved to the lead, but came under fire from Poole in the third turn. Nash held him off handily as he powered off the fourth turn, and began building an advantage.

Behind the leaders, Criswell and Arti Ridgeway battled back and forth for the third spot.

With the white flag in the air, Poole began cutting into Nash’s advantage, and began looking for a way to close the gap as they raced into turn three.

But it was all for naught, as Nash held him off en route to the checkered flag for the victory.

Poole came across the line in second, with Criswell holding off Ridgeway for third.

In other action, Gus Simpson drove to the win in the Limited Late Model feature. John Anderson finished in second, with Ken Lampp in third and Payton Freeman in fourth.

Nick Sellers held off Tyler Canup to score the Hobby feature win. Chase Lampp, Dakota Taylor and Logan Stinchcomb rounded out the top five.

Ronnie Poole recorded the victory in the Stock V8 feature, with Jeff Casper in second, Tim Corbin in third, Mark Chancey in fourth and Trey Pilgrim in fifth.

Glenn Jackson came home with the victory in the Stock 4A feature. Allen Cantrell finished second, with Kyle Braswell third, Cody Albright fourth and Matt Garrin fifth.

Steve Hill was the winner in the Stock 4B feature, with Mark Parker, Jr. in second, John Martin in third, B.J. Franklin in fourth and Daniel Conner in fifth.
