Jimmy Johnson won big in last week’s Tony Stephens Memorial at Georgia’s Toccoa Raceway.
The Monroe, Georgia driver bested Ahnna Parkhurst for the Limited Late Model victory at the historic 5/16 mile clay speedway.
Parkhurst set fast time in qualifying but Johnson pulled off the pass coming off turn 2 on the first lap. From there, Johnson drove away to the win, with Parkhurst in second and Drew Benfield in third.
In other action, David McCoy gained the victory in the Midsouth Cage Equipment Pro Late Model feature. Blake Craft was originally flagged the winner, but was disqualified after failing post-race tech inspection. That moved McCoy to victory lane, with Stephen Segars in second and Ahnna Parkhurst in third.
Ricky Smith powered to the lead on the opening lap of the Safety Plus 602 Sportsman feature, and went on to take the victory. Crandall Turner finished second with John Howard third.
Sterling Helm started on the outside of the front row in the Modified Street feature, and made the pass on lap one to take the lead. Helm went on to the win, with Daniel Doster following in second and Billy Buffington in third.
Benjie Stewart parlayed an outside pole position into victory in the Toccoa Pro Truck feature. Brad Nickerson and Terry Calhoun rounded out the podium.
Harley Holden started on the pole and stayed to claim the win in the Stock 4 Cylinder feature. Joey Payne was second, with Randy Boshears third.
In the O’Reilly Auto Parts Stock 8 Cylinder feature, Nathan Bowen was awarded the win after Tim Corbin was found to have a technical infraction in post race inspection. Brady Hunt finished in second, followed by Chris Harvell in third.
Trey Chapman took the Front Wheel Drive feature victory, with Tony Stevens in second and Travis Barbare in third.
The 602 Sportsman Young Guns feature was won by young Trae Kirk, with J.T. Turner in second.
