Chris Ferguson raced through the Ultimate Super Late Model Series field to take the lead and the win in the Jack Starrette Memorial at South Carolina’s Modoc Raceway on Saturday night.
Ferguson, from Mount Holly, North Carolina, took home a $5,022 payday for the victory, which was his fourth in the event and the 12th of his series career.
Ferguson rolled off from the 10th starting position, and worked his way through the field. On lap 37, he would bypass race leader Johnny Pursley and would hold the point for the remainder of the event.
Pursley finished in second, with Casey Roberts in third, fast qualifier Dennis Franklin in fourth and Ben Watkins in fifth.
Dustin Mitchell, Brett Hamm, Cla Knight, Zack Mitchell and Brian Connor rounded out the top ten.
The Ultimate Super Late Model Series will be back in action again on Saturday, June 15, as the Series will travel to Virginia Motor Speedway located in Jamaica, Virginia.
