Susan Spikes recorded a hometown victory in Saturday’s Super Pro Summit ET Drag Racing Series action at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia – on her birthday, no less.
Spikes, the 2017 track champion from Commerce, drove her 2001 Undercover Dragster to the win in her second outing of 2019.
She defeated Bailey Dunn from Gainesville, Georgia in the final. Spikes dialed in a 4.83 and ran a 4.851 ET at 139.06 MPH with a 0.018 reaction time. Dunn dialed in a 4.41 and ran a 4.419 ET at 156.05 MPH and a 0.051 reaction.
Other winners on the day included Pete Wagner in Pro, Dickey Forrester in Sportsman, Beau Sims in 5-9 JR Dragster, Logan Westmorland in 10-12 JR Dragster and Kimberly Vancica in 13-17 JR Dragster.
