Pope, Green Score LMS Victories In Anderson Twin Bill

Nolan Pope and Austin Green both made trips to victory lane in a pair of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car features on Friday night at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina.

Pope was victorious in the first feature, while Green took the win in the second.

In the first 40-lap feature, Green would bring the field down to the green flag from the pole, while Pope started in fourth. Pope would steadily move to the front of the field, taking the lead on lap 26. From there, he would hold off Luke Sorrow en route to the win.

Colby Howard finished in third, with Trey Gibson in fourth and Green in fifth.

In the second 40-lap feature, a top seven redraw would see Green start again on the pole. From there, Green would lead every lap, edging out Gibson for the victory.

Sorrow finished third, followed by Zach Bruenger in fourth and Kenenth Headen in fifth.

In other action, Steve Carver was the winner in the Limited feature, with Phillip Peters in second, Shaun Mize in third, Billy Brown in fourth and Jack Robertson in fifth.

Austin Northcutt recorded the victory in the BM Modifieds feature. Sam Bronw, Zak Brown, Bryan Mitchell and Trent Mitchell rounded out the top five.

Jeffrey Kummer scored the win in the Mini-Stock feature. Chad Campbell finished in second, with Josh Kersey in third, Brad Burdette in fourth and Ryan Howard in fifth.

Riley Halverson took the victory in the U.S. Legends feature, with Ryan Rackley in second, Lee Jordan in third, Scott Wessel in fourth and Don Maness in fifth.

In the Front Wheel Drive feature, Shane Brown held off Scott Parker to score the win. Tommy Davis, Jr. came home in third, followed by B.J. Davis in fourth and Casey Burkett in fifth.
