They say that winning your first race is the hardest victory you’ll ever secure, and once you’ve you’ve made your first visit to victory lane, there will be several more wins to follow.

Nik Williams captured his first-ever NASCAR Whelen All-American Series victory last week at Kingsport Speedway. He backed that up by sweeping both Late Model Stock Car victories on Friday night at the Kingsport, Tennessee raceway to make it three straight wins.

The 21-year-old was fastest in qualifying at 15.109 seconds, with Trey Bayne second quickest at 15.169. With no invert for the first 35-lap feature, Williams and Bayne led the 18-car field to green from the first row, with Dillon Hodge and Zeke Shell in row two.

Williams jumped out to the lead over 14-year-old Bayne at the start, while the field battled for position behind them.

Williams set a blistering pace out front, and went on to score the victory. Bayne finished in second, with Ronnie McCarty in third, Robbie Ferguson in fourth and Kres VanDyke in fifth.

With NASCAR Whelen All-American Series rules specifying the top eight finishers are inverted when track’s host twin features, the front row for the second 35-lap race had Joey Trent and Dillon Hodge leading the field to green. The duo raced side-by-side for the first four laps before Hodge took the point.
With the leaders battling up front, Williams worked his way forward. On lap 19, McCarty took the lead, with Williams moving to second four laps later.

Williams quickly closed to leader McCarty’s back bumper and began staling him for the lead. On lap 29, Williams powered into a lead off turn two, and would go on to score his second straight win on the night.
.
McCarty came home in second, followed by Trent in third, Bayne Bayne in fourth and Zeke Shell in fifth.

Keith Helton captured his fifth Pure 4 feature win of the season, holding off John Ketron for the victory. Brandon Sutherland, Craig Phelps and Kenny Absher rounded out the top five.

Kevin Canter rolled to his ninth Mod 4 feature win of the season. Chucky Williams finished in second, with Hershell Robinette in third, Billy Duty in fourth and Jessie Amburgey in fifth.

Rob Austin outran Jay Swecker to capture the Pure Street victory, followed by Sammy Ferguson in third, Dave Strong in fourth and Kevin Darnell in fifth.
