Turner Brothers Drive To Victories At Toccoa Raceway

Saturday night was a good one for Northeast Georgia’s racing Turner brothers.

Clayton Turner and his brother Crandall Turner both made trips to victory lane at Georgia’s historic Toccoa Raceway, as both drivers led ever lap in their respective events.

In the Midsouth Cage Equipment Limited Late Model feature, Clayton Turner shot to the top of the leader board on the drop of the green flag, edging out David McCoy for the top spot. From there, Turner went on to score the win, with McCoy in second and Drew Benefield.

In the Safety Plus 602 Sportsman feature, Crandall Turner powered to the lead on the opening lap, and led the rest of the way to score the win over Nick Sellers in second and Cody Smith in third.

In other action, Frankie Beard powered to his second straight FASTRAK Pro Late Model feature victory. Kenny Collins did all he could to try to pass Beard, but had to settle for second. Nick Schlager came home in third.

Daniel Doster came out on to of a race long duel with Sterling Helm to score the victory in the Modified Street feature. It marked Doster’s first victory at Toccoa. Billy Buffington took home third place honors.

Helm bettered that finish by one with a victory in the Toccoa Pro Trucks feature. Matthew Furgerson finished in second.

Kevin Kelly led wire-to-wire in the Stock 4 cylinder feature, with Ryan Crawford in second, followed by Jamie Brown in third.

Chance Segars took the lead from Evan Brown,and went on to score his first Stock V8 feature win at Toccoa. Ricky Jones finished in third.

Justin Sorrow was the winner in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Front Wheel Drive feature. David Creighton and Daryl Sutton rounded out the top three.

Kaylan Kettle took the win in the Kettle Construction Young Guns. Jacob Kelly finished in second, with Will Kettle in third.
