Wormy Gaddis jumped out to the early lead in Saturday night’s Modified Street feature at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway, and went on to pace every lap en route to the victory.
The Winder, Georgia driver started on the outside of the front row, alongside pole sitter Jordan Poole.
When the green flag flew, Gaddis powered to the lead on the outside of turn one, with Shane Peppers following him through to second. Peppers would work to try to close in on Gaddis, but the leader was able to move out to about a six car-length advantage. That went away when the caution flag flew after Tyler Canup slowed on the backstretch.
On the restart, Gaddis again jumped out to the advantage, with Peppers in pursuit. The field was tightened up again when Jimmy Lee Langley slowed off of the second turn.
Back under green, Gaddis again came under fire from Peppers, but a few laps later, the leader would pull out to a sizeable advantage. When the checkered flag flew, it was Gaddis taking the win over Peppers. Aaron Criswell finished in third, with Canup in fourth and Poole in fifth.
In other action, Chris Woods held off Chad Puckett for the Limited Late Model feature victory. Jeff Lampp finished in third, with Shawn Tullis in fourth.
Chris Jones took the Hobby feature victory over Jerome Hanson in second, Andy Barton in third, Keith Baker in fourth and Joe Cash in fifth.
Mark Chancey scored the win in the Stock V8 feature, with Trip Sexton in second and Jeff Casper in third.
Justin Taylor was the winner in the Stock 4A feature, with Kyle Braswell, Arti Ridgeway, Allen Cantrell and P.J. Taylor rounding out the top five.
William Earnest was the winner in the Stock 4B feature, followed by Franklin Sargent in second, Cody Albright in third, Hoke Jones in fourth and Larry Miller in fifth.
