Gus Simpson opened up the 2016 season at Toccoa Raceway with a victory in the Limited Late Model feature at the historic Toccoa, Georgia speedway.
Simpson held off Drew Simpson to pick up the win, with David McCoy in third, Clayton Turner in fourth and Kenny Collins in fifth.
Wesley English, Stephen Segars, Billy Rushton, Drew Benfield and Bobby Boshears rounded out the top ten.
In other action, Rusty Jordan took the victory in the FASTRAK Late Model feature. Frankie Beard finished in second, with David McCoy in third, Adam Smith in fourth and Steve “Hot Road” LaMance in fifth.
Crandall Turner took the 602 Sportsman/Hobby feature win. Chris Wilbanks came home in second, with George Reese third, John Howard fourth and Thomas Riggins in fifth.
Mark Wilbanks topped the Modified Street feature, beating out Justin Sims for the victory. Daniel Snow, Darryl Ivester and Otis Murray rounded out the top five.
In the Stock 4 feature, Harley Holden took the victory, with Jeremy Hicks in second, Shannon Etheridge in third, Scott Hollars in fourth and Bradley Lambert in fifth.
Evan Brown was the winner in the Stock V8 feature. Ray Foskey finished second, with Hayden Collett third and Wayne Chapman fourth.
Jackie Holden topped the Front Wheel Drive field to take the victory, with Robbie Cook in second, Daniel Reynolds in third, Landon Mack in fourth and Justin Sorrow in fifth.
