Fire destroyed the control tower and concession stand late Sunday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL just days before the 25th Annual Icebowl on January 7-10.

Despite the main structure of the facility being burned to the ground, an initial statement by track officials is that the Ice Bowl will go on as scheduled.

Track officials said the Fire Marshal has been at the track since after day break on Monday to investigate the fire, which reports indicate was contained to the control tower/concession stand building at the start/finish line of the 1/3-mile clay oval.
