Watermelon Capital Speedway wrapped up the 2015 season on Saturday, as the Racing For Fair Tax Outlaw Late Model series put the lid on their year at the Cordele, GA raceway.
Stuart Dutton of Tallahassee, FL scored the win and in doing so, took the series championship over Stewart Smith.
The win is the fourth of the season for Dutton, who also put together two second place finishes in nine races on the season.
Tony Head finished in second Saturday night, with Mike Silvey in third, Alex Leverette in fourth and Smith in fifth.
Other winners on the night included Shawn McIntyre in Pro Trucks, John Burke in Enduro and Wayne Lyle in Super Street.
In Karts action, Robert Lewis took the win in Outlaw Karts, with Karston Thomas winning in Stock Appearing Karts, James Chance in Flathead Karts and John Cox in Economy Karts.
Watermelon Capital Speedway will return to action on Jan. 31, 2016 for the CRA SpeedFest 2016, featuring the ARCA/CRA Super Late Models and the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Chase Elliott scored the Super Late Model feature win in the 2015 event, while John Hunter Nemechek won the Pro Late Model feature.
