Bubba Russell Races To Lavonia Limited Late Model Win

There was no catching Bubba Russell Friday night at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA.

The driver known as the “Hog Rocket” held off Clayton Turner to score the Limited Late Model victory at the 3/8 mile dirt track and make the trip to victory lane.

David McCoy finished in third, with Drew Collins in fourth and Mike Ashley in fifth.

Eric Johnson, Josh Thurman, Brent Russell, Austin Brumbelow and Randy Edmon rounded out the top ten.

In other action, David McCoy added to his 2015 win total with a victory in the FASTRAK Pro Late Model feature. Steve “Hot Rod” LaMance finished in second, with Adam Partain in third, Will Beard in fourth and Leon Walker in fifth.

Shane Yarbrough topped the Hobby Stock field for the feature win, with Chris McHeehan in second, Steve Yarbrough third, Austin Kimsey fourth and Ty Anglin fifth.

Justin Sims was first across the finish line to score the Modified Street feature win. Michael Segars ran second, with Keith Baker in third, Jason Lewallen in fourth and Phillip Burton in fifth.

Keith Teasley scored the Stock 8 feature, with Terry Brown in second.

Ryan Boles was the winner in the Stock 4 feature. Kevin Kelly, Terry Calhoun, Kenny Dobbs and Bobby Boshears rounded out the top five.

Matthew Furgerson topped the Rookie 4 field to pick up the win. Grant Roberts finished second, with Nathan Bowen in third and Tristin Collins in fourth.

Jackie Holden scored the win in the Front Wheel Drive feature, with Daniel Reynolds in second.
