Landon Huffman Grabs Hickory Late Model Stock Victory

Landon Huffman jumped out to the lead on the opening laps of Saturday night’s Bojangles’ Late Model Stock feature at Hickory Motor Speedway in Newton, NC, and went on to score the victory.

Huffman would battle early with Dexter Canipe, Jr. before finally using the preferred line to pull ahead. From there, Huffman would go unchallenged as he raced way to the victory.

Canipe, Jr. finished in second, with Shane Lee in third, Matt Piercy in fourth and Annabeth Barnes in fifth.

In other action, Blake Walker led the Wrench Rags Renegades field to the green, and would go on to score the victory. Kenneth Roberts finished in second, with Darren Dickinson in third, Justin Austin in fourth and Ray Triplett in fifth.

Randy Canipe and Eddie Gilbert battled early for the lead in the 4-Cylinder feature. Canipe would take the top spot, and move away for the victory. Gilbert finished second, followed by Michael Tucker in third, Rodney Trivette in fourth and Curtis Pardue in fifth.

Kevin Townsend held off Cody DeMarmels for the Street Stock feature win, with Don Machutta, Larry Mosher and Mark Witten rounding out the top five.

Travis Byrd scored the win in the T-Mobile Limited Late Models, with Jeremy Pelfrey in second, Mark Johnson in third, Monty Cox in fourth and Mitch Walker in fifth.
