It had to feel like a little bit of revenge.

In the last UARA event at Anderson Motor Speedway, Ronnie Bassett, Jr. took the checkered flag first, but was stripped of the win after failing post race tech.

Friday night, the Winston-Salem, NC racer topped all comers  in the UARA 150 Super Late Model race, and held on to the victory after passing post race tech.

Scott Turlington grabbed the lead at the start of the race and held the position until lap ninety one before he relinquished the top position to Brendan Poole. Once out front, Poole began to pull away from the field. Poole held the lead until lap one thirty when he was over taken by Ronnie Bassett Jr.

He pulled away from the field and went on to take the checkered flag.

Brendan Poole from The Woodlands, Texas finished second. Kyle Grissom from Concord, North Carolina finished third. Scott Turlington from Richmond, Virginia finished fourth. George Miedecke from Port Macquarie, NWS, Australia finished fifth.

Ricky Burnett picked up the win in the Talking Phonebook Renegade race. Burnett led every lap of the race on his way to the victory but the victory did not come easily. Steve Guthrie ran with Burnett the majority of the race and made several attempts to over take him.

On lap thirteen there was contact between the two whereas Burnett got crossed up in turn two but he was able to hold the car under him and maintain the lead. Steve Guthrie finished second. Alex Guthrie finished third. Tracy Robertson finished fourth. Blake Gregory finished fifth.

David Darnell took first in the B-Mini Stock race. BJ Thrasher led every lap of the race and was untouchable during the twenty lap race. Chuck Mitchell held the second position the first four laps of the race but was passed on lap five by Darnell, which would prove to be the winning move of the race when Thrasher failed post race inspection.

Following Thrasher’s demise, Darnell received the official victory and the first place trophy. Chad Campbell finished second. Chuck Mitchell finished third. Rip Lockwood finished fourth. Ryan Lockwood finished fifth.

Will Ragsdale claimed the official victory in the B-M Modified race. The B-M modified drivers qualified for starting positions instead of running a heat race and Will Ragsdale qualified the fastest with a lap time of 16.83 seconds.

Ragsdale and Casey Tucker battled side by side the first lap of the race with Tucker holding a narrow advantage at the end of the lap. On lap two, Ragsdale battled past Tucker down the back stretch to take over the lead position. Austin Northcutt made the move with Ragsdale to move into the second position. On lap three Northcutt slammed the wall in turn two which destroyed his car and removed him from the race.

Following the incident Ragsdale jumped back out front and began to pull away until a second caution flew on lap seven when Alan Mitchell hit the turn four pit entrance water barrels. The barrels burst and the race was delayed while the track was cleared.

Ragsdale jumped to the front once again but this time Tucker ran with him for several laps before Ragsdale was able to pull away. Ragsdale went on to take the victory. Casey Tucker finished second. Robert Marshall finished third. Bryce Malcolm finished fourth. Benny Gillespie finished fifth.
