WOODSTOCK, GA – With a full pit area of racecars and an overflowing crowd in attendance, Chickamauga, GA’s Dale McDowell won took his third win in a row in the Old Man’s Garage/Schaeffer Oil Spring Nationals Saturday night at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA.

Starting on the outside pole in the main event, McDowell immediately took the lead and never looked back. Following McDowell on the outside was Billy Ogle, Jr., who gave chase the entire 50 laps and seemed to be able to gain ground in lapped traffic. But Ogle, Jr. was never able to mount any serious challenges and settled in for a second place finish. Casey Roberts took third ahead of Austin Kirkpatrick in fourth. Randy Weaver completed the top five.

In his first visit to Dixie Speedway, Dillon Tidmore of Gadsden, AL made the move from his third place starting spot to the lead on lap one in the Steelhead Late Model feature and led the rest of the way to his first ever victory at the raceway. Scottie Pritchett follwed for second trailed by Chris Fennell in third, Joey Armistead in fourth and Alan Brewer in fifth.

Mark Page held off Hunter Jones by a half a car length to win the Crate Late Model show. Justin Shipley followed in third with Mason Massey and T.J. Brittain fourth and fifth.

Kenny Taylor took his first win of the year in the Super Bomber feature. Daniel Brewer took second followed by Andy Morris who raced his way to third from the rear of the field. Richard Bagby followed in fourth trailed by Randall Powell in fifth.

Dan Meadows took his second win in three races this season in the Economy Bomber feature, as he held off James Gagnon at the checkers. Rob Johnson, starting 21st out of 21 cars, raced his way up to third. Cody Czobat and Doug Ellis tucked in behind to finish fourth and fifth.

Shannon Bearden was once again in victory lane in the Pony Stock feature. Jake Jones was second followed by David Kirkland, Claude Ethridge, and Jamie Cross.

The Cruisers race had Wes Chavez in victory lane over Todd Lankster, John Sexton, George Wilson, and Randy Ledford.

Dixie Speedway is back in action on Saturday for the Bill Ingram Memorial in honor of the late Georgia Racing Hall of Famer. For more info, visit dixiespeedway.com.
