Action had barely gotten underway in the second annual Charlie Mize Memorial / Shrine Benefit race at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA before the recurring theme of rain set in again, cutting action short Saturday night.
Before the rains came, Gerald Stanley beat out Jerome Hanson to score the Hobby feature victory. Andy Barton finished in third, with Cody Puckett in fourth, and Alan Davis in fifth.
Mark Wilbanks scored the Modified Street feature, with Chris Shaw in second.
The rains washed out the rest of the events, which means they will run double features on July 12.
The Charlie Mize Memorial / Shrine Benefit has been rescheduled to Friday, Sept. 13.
