Anthony Anders remained undefeated on the season at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Easley, SC, winning his fourth Late Model Stock race in as many starts Saturday night.

Anders was the top qualifier for the main event, but drew a four and the top four cars were inverted. That put Anders in fourth, and it took 10 laps for him to make his way to the point.

Being undefeated in races means Anders is firmly atop the points race, and it is also his eighth straight win stretching into last season.

“I won seven straight some time ago, and this race breaks my record,” Anders said.

Last year, Anders captured the South Carolina Championship, and the Myrtle Beach track championship. This year it appears he is determined to put his name on Greenvillle-Pickens Speedway Wall of Champions.

Marty Ward, a six-time champion, was second and Justin Sorrow ran third. Will Ragsdale finished fourth and Joey Collins was fifth.

Defending track champion Toby Porter suffered engine problems during afternoon practice. He could not qualify and started in the rear. His problems continued and he was unable to finish. This puts Porter back over a dozen points in this year’s standings.

In other action, Bob Root led from start to finish in the Truck division, and captured his first checkered flag in these ranks. He finished ahead of Ricky Burnett and Greg Bohannon.

Bobby Emory held off Andrew Cordell to win the Renegade main event after the two drivers battled lap after lap with Emory keeping the edge. Lee Alexander was third with Scotty Tyner fourth and Daniel Jameson was fifth. Parker Jameson completed the field.

Dylan Crowe captured his first victory of the season in the Street Stock division, as Tyler Gibson was second and Freddie Hale Jr. was third. Ben Mills finished fourth and Curt Allen was fifth.

Mike Mote grabbed the win in the Charger division, his first victory of this season, and Chris Harvell ran second. Dale Walker was third and Bryan Davis took fourth. Andy Norris was fifth.

Ray Mullinax took his third victory of the season in the 4-Cylinder division, as Chris Francis was second. Charlie Hooper was third, with Don Tavernia fourth and Buck Simmons in fifth.
