Tim Crawley doubled up at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA over the weekend by sweeping both the Friday night and Saturday night USCS Sprint Car Senoia Summer Nationals victories.

On Friday night, Crawley, who hails from Benton, Arkansas, raced from his outside front row starting position into the USCS victory lane twenty-five laps later.

Bartlett, TN’s Anthony Nicholson started from the pole, and raced past defending USCS Champion Terry Gray after a lap 23 re-start into the runner-up position. He then chased Crawley to the finish line but couldn’t gain the momentum for a pass attempt.  Morgan Turpen from Oakland, Tennessee followed that trio to the finish line in fourth place.  Eric Riggins, Jr. from Charlotte, NC rounded out the top five drivers.

The next group was headed by Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, FL in sixth place. Martin was the evening’s Wilwood Disc Brakes Hard Charger after starting eleventh. Past USCS Southern regional series champion Johnny Bridges followed in seventh place. Nick DeFeo from Marietta, GA finished in eighth place. Clint Weiss from Seale, AL rounded out the top ten finishers.

Crawley kicked off the evening’s winged sprint car action with a win in the 6-lap Goodyear Speed Dash. Gray won the 10-lap Engler Machine and Tool First Heat Race. Crawley rolled to victory in the Butlerbuilt Second Heat Race. Jeff Willingham garnered the Goodyear, Rookie of Race honors.

On Saturday night, Crawley again raced from his outside front row starting position to the win in the 30 lap feature.

Pole sitter Morgan Turpen, the only female sprint car racer in the field, chased Crawley for the entire distance to finish in the runner-up spot. Turpen closed several times on Crawley but could not pass the hard charging Arkansan. Turpen’s team-mate, Terry Gray, chased the flying duo home in the third position. Riggins, Jr. followed the veteran in fourth place. Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas rounded out the top five drivers.

The next group was headed by Anthony Nicholson in sixth place.  Johnny Bridges followed in seventh place. Rookie driver Howard Moore from Memphis, TN made an impressive run and finished in eighth place. Another rookie driver, Jeff Wilingham from Ripley, Mississippi finished in the ninth place. USCS regular Nick DeFeo from Marietta, GA rounded out the top ten finishers.

Turpen won the 6-lap Goodyear Speed Dash. Nicholson won the 10-lap Engler Machine and Tool First Heat Race. Crawley raced to victory in the Butlerbuilt Second Heat Race. Howard Moore garnered the Goodyear, Rookie of Race honors.
