Wet weather took it’s toll on racing plans for several area tracks over the weekend, with Saturday storms rolling through late in the day, washing out planned events.
Georgia’s Senoia Raceway was slated to host the USCS Sprint Car Series, only to see the event washed out by the late afternoon storms. Senoia is slated to return to action on Saturday, August 19. Visit SenoiaRaceway1969.com for more information.
Meanwhile, the USCS Sprint Cars travel Lexington 104 Speedway at Lexington, Tennessee on Friday, August 18, before moving on to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Saturday, August 19. Check USCSRacing.com.
Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina was set to celebrate the track’s 60th anniversary on Friday night, but the wet weather led track officials to postpone the event. Georgia’s Toccoa Raceway was slated to host local divison racing on Saturday night, but the late day storms put the kibosh on those plans. The track will try again on Saturday, August 19. For updates, visit ToccoaRaceway.org.
Tennessee’s Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway was all set for a night of racing on the 5/8-mile raceway, only to see strong storms wash those plans out. The next scheduled event in the Music City is slated for Saturday, October 7. Check NashvilleFairgroundsSpeedway.racing for more information.
