While it was a big race weekend for some, it wasn’t as good for others, as a number of area race tracks and series saw the same rains that postponed the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series races at Charlotte put the kibosh on their race plans.

Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia was slated to host the Carolina Sprint Tour as a part of the Rusty Jordan Memorial. But the wet weather in the forecast led the series to postpone the event. The track will return to action on Saturday, June 3 with the FASTRAK Dirt Late Model Series. Visit LavoniaSpeedway.net for more information.

It was a similar situation at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina, where the impending weather led Southeast SuperTruck Series officials to pull the plug early on their Saturday night event. Racing resumes at Anderson on Friday, June 2. For more details check AndersonMotorSpeedway.com.
